For the past 19 years I have been making holiday dreams come true, with 11 of those years at Destina Travel.  Starting as an apprentice at Lunn Poly, I worked at another independent agent before starting at Mercian Travel (as it was until 2017), I started here as a travel consultant and have worked my way up to Manager.

I love it when a client comes to me with the seed of an idea and allows me to build a detailed itinerary that will be perfect for them. Hearing about their adventures when they return is the ultimate job satisfaction for me – knowing that I helped create that experience and memory makes all the effort worthwhile.

Favourite Destination:

It must be New York the Big Apple, I loved the buzz of the city, some fantastic sights and amazing shopping, it is truly the city that never sleeps. I’d recommend the Rockefeller Centre for the best views over the city, including the Empire State Building and Central Park.

Most Memorable Experience:

An early morning hot air balloon ride over Cappadocia, known as Turkey’s land of the fairy chimneys for its unusual rock formations.

Three Must See Destinations on bucket list:

• St Lucia. It’s always been my dream to stay at the luxurious Jade Mountain resort, with its iconic view of the Piton volcanoes.
• Dubai is an exciting beach-meets-city break destination with fantastic culture, record-breaking landmarks and spectacular hotels.
• Iceland is a magical place. What could be better than swimming in the warm waters of the Blue Lagoon, surrounded by a beautiful frosty landscape?

Top Travel Tip:

Taking a cotton scarf on a sunshine holiday might seem odd but it will come in useful as a blanket while travelling, protect you from the sun, sand, wind or changes in temperature, and make a great alternative to a towel if you want to pack light for day trips, tours and adventures.
